Everyone has something that drives them, it keeps them going no matter what.
Joe Arpaio believes in creating controversy (pink underwear & matching handcuffs anyone?) jk I meant law.
Landon Donovan believes in soccer, his passion for playing can be seen beyond the field (remember the random shoutout he got saying he MIGHT be a British baby’s father?).
Thirtreen year old Twilight fans believe in vampire teeth. We’ll just pretend they have real things they believe in…like full moons.
The boys behind Invisible Children believe in bringing social justice to the children who were forced to be child soldiers.
I believe in shanti, pace, paix, paz, frieden and peace. I know, I said pick something not a few things, but all of those words translate to the same thing. Peace can be found everywhere and at the same time, it’s hidden everywhere. It’s up to you to find it, maintain it and share it.
World peace isn’t a joke, but c’mon, most millennials talk about it- as if it were. Not enough of us take time to find a little peace and embrace it. To us, little isn’t enough. We want big, hell with world peace, I’d like to become friends with the aliens- repping the peace sign and all!
Think about it, if all 8,856,558,756 people in the world found peace in something, the world would be in a better place.
World peace doesn’t just get handed to you on a silver platter, don’t be ridiculous, there are way too many parts for that to happen. Order, borders, and identities.
I believe in making a difference. Little changes matter, “the whole is more than the sum of its parts.” One step at a time, the world may seem big but in the end, “it’s a small world.”
P.S. I am not a hippie nor am I an idealist. I wouldn’t fit into the hippie era and I give too many reality checks. But I am a full blown damn proud ever so travelin hipster.
